Reflecting over the past year is always something I do when New Year’s Eve rolls around. This year, I thought larger, and reflected over an entire decade. 2000-2010 was a decade full of growing up: successes and failures, life lessons, and lots of people I care about. I graduated high school, college, and graduate school; I published a textbook, I founded a website that has afforded me unimaginably exciting opportunities and put me in contact with amazing women, and I even had dinner with the Secretary of State!
And 2011 is the beginning of a new chapter! I love new chapters, blank notepads, and clean slates, which is why New Year’s Eve is always one of my favorite holidays. I’ve got some things up my sleeve for 2011, but I also look forward to life’s unintended surprises. And, as always, I look forward to spending the next decade doing what I love most: working, laughing, and spending time with those I care about.
May 2011 be a happy, healthy, and successful year for all of you!
